We hand-pack every order with the cold chain in mind. Here is exactly how it works.

Free Local Pickup in Pensacola

Pickup at our facility, 3005 E. Cervantes St., Pensacola FL 32503.

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT
  • Same-day pickup: orders placed before 12:00 PM CT
  • Next-business-day pickup: orders placed after 12:00 PM CT
  • Closed: Saturday, Sunday, and federal holidays

When you arrive, ring the bell at the front office and bring your order confirmation email. Pickup is always free, no minimum order.

Shipping: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Only

Frozen food does not sit well in a UPS facility over the weekend, so we only ship Monday through Wednesday.

  • Order cutoff: Tuesday 12:00 PM CT
  • Orders placed by then ship the same week (Mon, Tue, or Wed)
  • Orders placed after the cutoff ship the following Monday

This protects your food. We would rather hold an order three extra days than send it on a journey it cannot survive.

Where We Ship

Core Region (UPS Ground, 2 to 3 day delivery): Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Extended Region (UPS 2nd Day Air, guaranteed 2-day): all other continental US states.

Currently not shipping to: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, or international destinations. Local pickup is available regardless of where you live.

Shipping Rates

Rates are based on order weight, since that determines how many coolers we need to ship.

UPS Ground (Core Region):

  • 1 cooler (up to 18 lbs): $40
  • 2 coolers (up to 35 lbs): $75
  • 3 coolers (up to 52 lbs): $110

UPS 2nd Day Air (Extended Region):

  • 1 cooler (up to 18 lbs): $90
  • 2 coolers (up to 35 lbs): $170
  • 3 coolers (up to 52 lbs): $250

These rates include a $20 handling fee per cooler that covers the insulated cooler, gel packs, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, outer carton, and shipping label. The cooler and gel packs are yours to keep and reuse. Take them on a picnic, freeze meal prep, gift them. They are built to last.

Our Packaging

Every order ships in:

  • 1-inch-thick insulated cooler (reusable)
  • 3 to 4 frozen gel packs (reusable)
  • Bubble wrap and packing peanuts to fill voids
  • Sturdy outer carton

The combined cooler and gel packs are about $10 of material that comes with your order at no extra charge. Reuse them, regift them, whatever works.

Cold Chain Guarantee

If your order arrives and the gel packs are completely thawed AND any product feels warm to the touch (above 40 degrees F):

  1. Do not open the food. Take photos of the cooler interior and the package exterior.
  2. Email mike@cajunspecialtymeats.com within 24 hours of delivery.
  3. We will replace the order or refund you. Your call.

Note: gel packs partially thawing is normal and expected. As long as the food is still frozen or below 40 degrees F, the cold chain held.

Delivery Notes

  • UPS will leave the package at your door. No signature required.
  • Track your shipment in the email you receive when the label is purchased (usually the morning of ship day).
  • Be ready to bring it inside within a few hours of delivery to maximize cold integrity.
  • If you will be away on delivery day, contact UPS to arrange a hold or reschedule.
